My Journey as a UX Designer at SAP

September 2018 until present day

Starting my career as a bachelor student at SAP, I gained experience in diverse UX design, user research, and frontend development projects, working with local and international teams. I continued to enhance my skills while pursuing a master's degree and working as a UX design student in the SAP Customer Experience department, where I am working on maintaining and improving our design system and its adoption.

Starting my Journey as a Vocational Training Bachelor's Student

During my vocational training, I gained diverse work experience as a UX Designer in various departments at SAP.

At the Cloud Platform PX Design team, I worked on user experience design and UX evaluation methodologies, where I researched and applied UX evaluation methods to develop an efficient web tool for UX reviews. In SAP’s central design team, SAP UX, I worked on concepts regarding SAP's design system "SAP Fiori". I worked on concepts for Fiori for Web, the Fiori Launchpad, Fiori Theming and Fiori for Artificial Intelligence (AI). To help future designers understand the Fiori theming logic, I developed an interactive web tool.

In my practical phase at the Customer Experience UX department, I created recommendations and best practice documents for UI elements for CRM applications, considering SAP Fiori and specific CX requirements. I also developed Fiori UX concepts for the SAP Customer Order Sourcing solution, working in an agile setting - closely collaborating with developers and stakeholders.

At SAP BTP Core UX, I wrote my Bachelor Thesis on user expectations and anticipated UX, and developed an evaluation method to gather expectations of future end-users in an early state of development.

In my last practical phase, working remotely, I developed UX and UI prototypes for new functions within the SAP Hungary car fleet management solution. In addition I worked on concept work regarding apps for the future of work, connecting working from home and working in the office, considering both Hungarian and German requirements and existing solutions.

Overall, my diverse work experience has enabled me to develop my skills in UX design, prototyping, UX evaluation, and user-centered design, and I was excited to continue applying these skills to create innovative and user-friendly products in the future. Therefore, I started to look for an opportunity to deepen my knowledge as a master's student.

Continuing my Journey as a Master's Student

During my master’s studies in Information Systems, I continued to work as a UX Designer, this time in the SAP Commerce Cloud team within SAP Customer Experience. In my role, I am responsible for organizing and contributing to the design system for SAP Commerce Cloud applications. This involves creating components, application floor plans, and prototypes to ensure usability, consistency, and accessibility. I collaborate closely with application designers, framework developers and accessibility advocates to ensure that the design system meets their needs.

This opportunity has allowed me to further hone my skills in UX design, particularly in the area of creating design systems. I am excited to continue contributing to innovative and user-friendly products.
